Receiving an invitation to a champagne brunch at Rougeur, Menara Tokio Marine Life was unexpected since I don’t receive that many food review invitations (wish there were more but I’m not on the restaurant radar!). Rougeur is a relatively new restaurant on Menara Tokio Marine Life’s 1st Floor. The building is right next to Megan Avenue 1 on Jalan Tun Razak, can’t miss this building as it’s rather prominent.
Rogeur is a restaurant open for lunch and dinner as well as an event hall which can seat and accommodate hundreds of people, very spacious. You can even organize a concert here and have food and/or drinks catered from Rougeur.
The Rougeur champagne brunch was just a champagne pairing session in collaboration with their supplier, hence it was actually technically not a food review. The dishes accompanying the Nicolas Feuillatte champagne and cocktails were specially created for this purpose, and are not part of Rougeur’s regular menu. I’ll say that generally there were some misses, the food pairing could have been improved but this is the menu for the champagne brunch.

Champagne Brunch At Rougeur Menara Tokio Marine Life was an interesting experience
Overall, the flavours could have been slightly stronger as I found some of the dishes like the Chicken Consomme Bruinoise to be too bland and watery. Furthermore, the flavours of the Grilled Marinated Spicy Coconut Champagne Seabass didn’t really gel well together, it could have done without the curry sauces and the fish didn’t separate well either. However, no complaints about the champagne cocktails as they are very refreshing and just what one needs after a long hard day’s work but as it was lunch time, I couldn’t consume as much as I would have liked to. I am not a champagne connoisseur, not by a long shot but I can appreciate the effort it took in creating the different cocktails.
Rougeur is a nice place to organize events at though as they sure have the space and facilities including catering services.
Looks interesting!
