Clarins Make Up Workshop By Mike Ong

dsc_4436Last Saturday, I received a sms from Clarins stating that there would be a makeup workshop at their retail boutique in Mid Valley Megamall this afternoon. There were 2 sessions, the first was at 2pm. Registration was on their Facebook page so just for fun, I registered for the first session. The first 20 participants would receive a goody bag worth RM99. I thought it was first 20 participants who registered online but no such luck, it was first 20 participants who turned up for the sessions.

I got there at 2pm and already there was a super long queue, I didn’t need to count to know there were more than 20 people ahead of me. I guess I should have turned up at 1.30pm if I wanted to get the goody bag after the workshop. When I approached the registration counter, they didn’t even need to check my name and just ushered me inside where it was of course standing room only.

Interesting though it might have been, I wasn’t going to stand there for an hour and with no incentive since I was obviously not among the first 20 who turned up. I think it would have been nice if they had organised more sessions for this weekend (maybe one in the morning like 11am) and limited it to 20 participants to ensure all who attended received a goody bag.
