The past few months have been quite event-ful or is it event-full for me as I’ve been enlightened on new brands as well as brands which have been around for some time here but I never had much of an opportunity to find out more about until now. Yesterday night was an interesting one as I was part of a group of bloggers invited to an event themed “Confessions Of A Shopaholic” organised by these brands – Valentino, Issey Miyake, Wonderstruck Taylor Swift, Anna Sui and Guerlain.
For a long time now, I have admired Valentino Clemente Ludovico Garavani, better known as Valentino’s beautiful and incomparable haute couture. His ethereal gowns were fit for royalty and they were definitely only affordable to the very rich and famous.
The maestro may have retired in 2008 but the House of Valentino still thrives and this year, they introduced Valentina, the new Valentino Eau De Parfum. This new fragrance has been available in Malaysia since April. Two master perfumers, Olivier Cresp and Alberto Morillas, created this fragrance as a tribute to today’s Valentino woman.
The couture bottle is inspired by feminine shapes and curves with white, ivory and nude couture flowers (emblems of Valentino couture) and a refined signature cap of a silver ring and black cap. Its described as an “Italian Floral Oriental” fragrance with the following notes:-
- Top notes of Calabrian Bergamot and White Alba Truffle
- Middle notes of Amalfi Orange Blossom, Jasmine and Wild Strawberry
- Base notes of Cedar Wood, Amber and Vanilla
Valentina comes in 3 sizes – 30ml/50ml/100ml.
There is also a deluxe bath collection comprising of Velvet Shower Gel 200ml, Satin Body Milk 200ml and Perfumed Deodorant Spray 100ml. These products are enriched with precious flower extracts of jasmine, orange blossom and tuberose.
