I think you’d agree with me that Crabtree & Evelyn festive food sets are a feast for the sight as well as taste. The tins are beautiful and who wouldn’t want to keep them long after the food inside has been finished? Their Collectable Design Tin contains 25 sachets of English Breakfast Tea, 2 x 100g White Chocolate & Raspberry Biscuits and White Chocolate & Lemon Biscuits and a 227g jar of Wild Blueberry Preserve. All the essentials for a sumptuous afternoon tea spread.
English Breakfast Tea is my favourite tea and so I was delighted to have this set as I’m getting a little fed up of my Waitrose Ceylon Tea (they were all out of English Breakfast Tea at Cold Storage) which is too mild for me. English Breakfast Tea’s the best beverage to start my morning as it’s strong and robust.
Crabtree & Evelyn’s Breakfast Tea bags are sealed individually within sachets which means I can take them along anywhere without having to deposit them into a plastic bag. I’ve taken my own teas along when travelling as all I need is hot water and it’s much better than the tea offered in some hotel rooms. This English Breakfast Tea didn’t disappoint, it’s almost as good as Fortnum & Mason’s who have the best English Breakfast Tea (in my opinion).
There are 8 biscuits in each tin, crispy and generous sized. I was feeling very hungry the 1st time I opened the set for my tea but even then, I could only manage 5 pieces in total. I devoured 3 pieces of the Lemon & White Chocolate and 2 pieces of White Chocolate & Raspberry.
They didn’t taste very sweet at first but by the time I was on the 3rd biscuit, it got a bit too sweet. The Lemon & White Chocolate is slightly less sweet than the White Chocolate & Raspberry which has a stronger taste due to the raspberry exploding in my mouth when I take each bite.
Crabtree & Evelyn Collectable Design Tin retails at RM155.
I think I am getting the White Chocolate & Raspberry for my mum cause she loves raspberry!
