In terms of most value product in the Fabulous Finds Beauty Box, I guess it’d have to be this 25g tube of Crabtree & Evelyn Iris Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy as it’s got to be at least RM15. In Crabtree’s official website, it’s US$19 which converts to RM60+. The full-sized product is 100g so ¼ of RM60 = RM15, that’s how I work things out anyway. This product is not found in the C & E Malaysia website.
I’ve never purchased any Crabtree products and even if they had a sale, I am unlikely to purchase anything. Just not a fan of the products. Their Iris Hand Cream is enriched with shea butter, macadamia oil and conditioning iris extract. Sounds like a very moisturising blend.
The scent is orris from the root of the iris flower, blended with precious sandalwood, sensuous patchouli and a hint of fresh vetiver. Veti-what? It’s not even in my Oxford English Dictionary. Other than being the name of an American folk band, vetiver is a grass native to India otherwise known as khus in western and northern India. When its roots are distilled, it produces fragrant essential oils. I wonder if it can grow in my garden?
One thing I know for sure, Crabtree & Evelyn does not compromise on packaging even for its deluxe sized products as this 25ml tube is the exact replica of the full sized product. The pale lilac shade used for the tube is so pretty and so English.
There’s nothing to dislike about this hand cream, it has a beautiful scent which lingers on hands for a long time, the texture is just right as it isn’t too thick nor too thin, absorption rate is pronto and there is no greasy feeling. It’s excellent quality but then again, one would expect top rate quality from Crabtree.
