I wonder if serum foundations are the trend this year. Somehow or other when you add “serum” to the word “foundation”, it has am excellent selling point since you’re getting more than a bottle of foundation. Who doesn’t want skincare benefits with their foundation, right?
Diorskin Nude Air Serum Foundation is Dior’s latest foundation which promises a weightless velvety freshness. It claims to have an incredibly fine, exceptional texture as it’s made with oils that evaporate instantly.
This comes in a beautiful bottle with a precision dropper that dispenses just the right amount. The formula is enriched with soft-focus agents and glazed pigments. Coverage is rather sheer, definitely more sheer and lightweight than the Diorskin Star. Also, the Diorskin Star has more brightening properties than Diorskin Nude Air.
My sample is in 010 which is the lightest shade, there being 6 shades altogether. I like how it allows my skin to breathe, this is one of the most fluid foundations I have ever seen. Once applied, my skin feels so smooth and there’s an almost powdery feel to it. I don’t need to apply powder but if you have very oily skin, perhaps you’d want to in order to prolong the wear.
What’s the serum in this foundation? Dior introduces Oxygen Activ™ technology, an innovative combination of a hyper-oxygenated oil, cranberry oil, vitamins and minerals. All these allow skin to breathe and become more beautiful each day.
Diorskin Nude Air Serum Foundation retails at RM191/30ml.
Looks like this foundation might not be suitable for those with oily skin. With the added serum, the texture of the foundation might become very “rich”.
Those with oily skins can always request for a sample sachet to see whether it’s suitable for them.
I do agree that it serum foundations seems to be the trend this year probably because of the really light texture and looking so natural on the skin.
