Whenever I see skincare that promises to boost collagen, I begin to go all skeptical. I am most reluctant to spend a few hundred on a product which doesn’t bring about the desired results. Women over the age of 30 have good reason to be a little concerned about the lack of collagen in their skin since as we age, our collagen levels decrease and that of course, leaves us with wrinkly skin and loss of elasticity.
Dr. Brandt Collagen Booster is a concentrated serum infused with a customized blend of key amino acids to boost, preserve, stimulate and maximize collagen levels for younger looking skin. This proprietary formula, researched and developed by renowned celebrity dermatologist, Dr. Frederic Brandt and his research institute, contains 6 key amino acids, which together comprise almost 80% of collagen’s natural composition to improve skin’s texture and tone.
Product description:-
“Formulated to minimize the breakdown & help retain collagen by counteracting the effects of skin scavengers, including free radicals while stimulating the skin to continually produce its own natural collagen. The peptide-rich serum maximizes & strengthens the formation of collagen fibers, increasing skin’s resilience and elasticity over time. Designed for all skin types, this innovative, multi-tasking formula instantly tightens with Liftessence™ for immediately smoother, firmer skin”.
This is a very lightweight gel serum which absorbs into skin immediately. I just need about 2-3 pumps for my face and neck. It feels good on skin, hydrating and soothing but other than smoother skin and a bit more radiance, I can’t really say it has brought about any other positive results. My skin doesn’t feel any firmer and the fine lines are still there.
Dr. Brandt Collagen Booster retails at RM325/30ml.
Probably one need to use this for a long term but then it is quite pricey and of course consumer want fast results.
