Eating at a good ramen restaurant can only be an occasional treat as a bowl of ramen can typically cost an average of RM25 but if it’s premium ramen, then it’s worth the price. My go-to ramen restaurant is Bankara Ramen as the broth is excellent & the outlet at Avenue K is never crowded. In fact each time I visit, there are only 1 or 2 tables occupied. Service is fast there. One time, my ramen was on the table within 5 minutes of my order.
There are quite a few choices of ramen on the menu but my favourite is their tonkotsu which has thin noodles in a milky pork bone soup served with chashu, spring onion, jew’s ear mushroom and seaweed. The soup is fairly thick/concentrated, absolutely delicious without being too salty and the noodles are springy and sublime with every bite.
