It was only a matter of time before Garnier came up with its version of BB Cream since so many drugstore brands have already come up with theirs. Garnier’s BB Cream is formulated with lemon extract and mineral pigments.
These are the instant benefits Garnier’s BB Cream claims to give skin:-
(1) more radiant
(2) more even-toned
(3) less dark spots
(4) less blemish marks
(5) less darkness
(6) less visible lines
(7) less visible pores
(8) more hydrated
(9) less yellowness
(10) less redness
Seems like a lot of benefits, doesn’t it? It doesn’t have a terribly thick texture, it looks like a light beige tone which would probably be suitable for those with lighter skin although it claims to be okay for all skin tones.
This shade suits my skin tone to a T. It was easy to blend into skin and it gave a completely natural look, as if I hadn’t applied anything. It also felt quite moisturising. It feels lightweight and comfortable on skin. It seemed to give my skin a bit of a glow/radiance.
However, as it is so sheer, it didn’t cover my pigmentation and I believe you’d need concealer over it if you wanted to conceal acne scars and other imperfections. Its SPF isn’t as high as I’d expected. For sunscreens, I usually prefer a minimum of SPF30.
The staying power of this BB Cream on my normal-dry skin was good, I didn’t experience any meltdowns but the true test would be on those with oily skins. Overall, I liked this BB Cream for its texture and suitability to my skin tone.
Garnier’s BB Cream (also known as Instant Fairness BB Moisturizer) retails at RM19.90 and comes in a 20ml tube.
