Last week, I tried Gigi Coffee for the first time, it was at their Mid Valley Megamall outlet. It’s on Level 1 next to the concierge on that level and opposite iora. One look at the cafe and I guessed it was more of a takeaway cafe than for sitting in as there were just 2 small tables.
When ordering the coffee of your choice, you will be asked which beans you prefer. Colombia (Medium Roast) beans are sweeter than Indonesia (Medium Dark Roast) beans which are more bitter. I chose Colombia for my Americano and added on whipped cream so the price is RM8 + RM2. I don’t like milk in my coffee, prefer whipped cream which gives it sweetness and I really love whipped cream in black coffee.
The coffees are served in takeaway paper cups and the size if surprisingly big. They were also generous with the whipped cream which tasted sublime with the hot coffee. The coffee was fragrant and I enjoyed every sip.
The latte was also well made, this one is Indonesia beans. Didn’t taste that bitter but I do prefer Colombia beans.
Yesterday evening, I was at Avenue K for dinner and after my meal, I went to Gigi Coffee on Level C (same level as KLCC LRT station). There were a few takeaway bags ready to be picked up by customers. Once again, I ordered the Americano with whipped cream. The sole table was occupied so I sat on a bench outside the cafe which they share a shoplot with stuff’d.
Even less seating at Gigi Coffee Avenue K than their outlet at Mid Valley. Can’t really complain as their prices are lower than most other cafes.
