Having used numerous fragrances from various brands over the decades, I have come to the conclusion that I am drawn towards fragrances with fruity notes which explains why I love Escada fragrances so much. I’m less attracted towards predominantly floral fragrances and if the fruity fragrance smells a bit musky or masculine, so much the better for me.

Compared to Dolce, I like The One a lot more as The One smells less floral and is more intense. Dolce is a rather light fragrance which didn’t make much of an impression on me despite the relentless advertising on tv. Now The One is much more to my liking and appeals to my olfactory senses.

The One opens with a sparkling and modern interpretation of fresh top notes of zesty Bergamot and Mandarin combined with juicy Lychee and Peach. The heart of the fragrance consists of the Madonna Lily and the fragrance finally unfolds to reveal a deep and sensual base of rich Vanilla and resinous Ambery notes combined with smooth Musky notes.

The scent lasts much longer than Dolce and this is a fragrance I would choose to use every day as it suits my moods. However, the bottle is a fingerprint magnet as I can’t hold it without leaving mark all over. I should be handling this with kid gloves.
