Last Friday evening (24th June) was a special one for Frozen as they officially opened their 1st Lalapop by Frozen outlet @ Lalaport BBCC. They are located on Gourmet Street of the mall, next to Starbucks. Now this outlet is rather different from the other Frozen outlets as Lalapop has alcoholic-infused ice cream flavours. They actually have 2o+ flavours but they will be rotated on a daily basis with at least 10 of these available on a daily basis alongside the regular non-alcoholic flavours.
Hence at Lalapop, one has a choice of the Notti (alcoholic-infused) or Nice (non-alcoholic) flavours. Lalapop is Frozen’s Notti sibling, so to speak. As I arrived early that evening, I had the opportunity to sample all the Notti flavours and some do pack a punch. They were all delicious and unique in their own way.
For the Notti flavours, you can expect flavours such as :
- Rum And Fat Raisin : premium raisins soaked for 72 hours in Jamaican rum & paired with Frozen’s vanilla ice cream
- Matcha & Sake : Japanese matcha ice cream infused with premium grade sake
- Gin Milky Avocado : Chilean avocado ice cream infused with premium gin
- Iced Sicilian : Lalapop’s best-sellet todate. Cinzano Bianco combined with Black Cherry Almond Toffee ice cream
- Notti Pecan : Pecan ice cream infused with Scottish whisky
- Frozen Margarita : Freshly squeezed Lime Sorbet with liberal dose of tequila served in a margarita coupe
- Pina Colada : Layers of Pineapple Ice Cream intertwined with Coconut Ice Cream, infused with rum
- Bailey’s Swirl : Vanilla Ice Cream infused with Bailey’s Irish Cream and finished with swirls of Dark Chocolate
- Brandy Raspberry Cheesecake : Raspberry Ice Cream infused with VS brandy and laced with cheesecake sponge
- Spiked Hazelnut Latte : Hazelnut Latte Ice Cream infused with American bourbon whisky
- Whisky Salted Caramel : Salted Caramel Ice Cream infused with American bourbon whisky
- BBB : Combo of VS brandy, Banana Ice Cream & drizzle of Brulee
Not to worry if you are not used to alcoholic-infused food as I am not either but the alcohol content isn’t too strong although you can definitely taste the alcohol within. The merchandise in this outlet is also worth checking out.
My favourite Notti flavour is the Iced Sicilian but I have to say everything else is equally good. It will be difficult to pick as all the Notti and Nice flavours are full of oomph!
