Yesterday evening, I attended the Grand Opening of MORCO Coffee (formerly known as Mono Coffee) at Publika Shopping Gallery. MORCO Coffee is operated by Brandker Group who also operate Cosans Coffee. The rebranding to MORCO Coffee came about because there’s been a change in direction where food is concerned.
MORCO Coffee is an artisan coffee and pastry outlet whose vision is to provide a delicious selection of daily baked fresh pastries and handcrafted coffee for the fast paced community and to create a comfortable, earth tone ambiance.
The space is inspired by mother earth tone and MORCO green. MORCO introduced two exclusive house brands MATEO and IARA. MATEO is the blend from Yirgacheffe, Sidamo & Sumatra and is a bold, full bodied blend with a spicy note of pepper & cinnamon with cocoa-like body mixed with a lingering sensation of woody sandalwood aroma. The second blend, IARA is a mix blend from Ethiopia, Sidamo, Mexico & Brazil. It’s a medium to dark roasted blend with chocolate and honey aroma with a sweet, rounded complex yet delicate nutty pecan flavor with a soft acidity and light syrupy feel in the mouth.
Other than serving coffee and pastries, MORCO introduces a new concept, the BIG plate and SMALL plate.
MORCO Coffee was conceptualized, revamped and transformed within 3 weeks and is located at A2-G2-3A, Publika Shopping Gallery, Jalan Dutamas 1, Solaris Dutamas, Kuala Lumpur.
