Sephora Volume Booster Gloss Serum is a plumping lip gloss that boosts volume, gives shine and moisture. It’s lip-plumping without the the discomforting stinging sensation associated with most other plumping formulas. Fatin reviews this product.

Anyone for luscious looking lips and high impact lip colour? Sephora Volume Booster Gloss Serum might give you just that. It is an ultra comfortable plumping lip gloss that boosts volume.

This high shine gloss plumps the lips without that stinging or tingling sensation that some plumping gloss have. The serum provides 47% more hydration to your pout and has a sweet vanilla flavour.

The shade I have is Kiss Me Now. Catchy name. It comes in a sleek long tube with a twist dispenser at the bottom. You only need about two twists to cover the lips so be careful not to over twist. Swatching it, I noticed the colour doesn’t come out evenly, the serum and colour separates a bit. Same thing when applying to my lips, so I have to smoothen it out with my finger. It looked really glossy upon application and give that high shine effect. The colour appeared intense. But what I noticed after about 10 minutes, the colour began to settle into my natural lip lines making the colour look uneven and cracked. I also noticed colour bits around the lip line, looked rather messy, not that the amount I applied was much. Perhaps I should try applying less.

They were not kidding about the moisturising part though. My lips felt moisturised even hours after applying it. Actually the flavour lingers too. Though it doesn’t really taste very vanilla, just slighlty sweet. I don’t really mind the taste.

I did check in the mirror to see if my lips were any plumper but did not notice much of a difference. Maybe just a tiny bit after about 2 hours of having it on. I tried doing a before and after shot to compare but it didn’t show in photos.

So there you go, save for the uneven colour, it moisturises well!

Sephora Volume Booster Gloss Serum retails at RM55 and is available in 10 shades.
