Camie reviews 2 lipsticks from Shop M.A.C. Cook M.A.C. Collection:-
So this spring is going Old Skool with M.A.C’s latest collection Shop M.A.C. Cook M.A.C. which has vibrant colors that not only look delicious but does exceptionally well on your face too.
Comparing M.A.C.’s previous collection which also offers vibrant hues, lipsticks in this collection are bright yet less loud. The 2 lipsticks that I have got with me here are “Innocence, Beware!” and “Naughty Saute”. Maybe because both of these have cremesheen finishing so it doesn’t make me look loud wearing them.
“Naughty Saute” – looks like strawberry milk pink with a bluish-base. It can look pretty pale on people like me having a darker tone so you may want to consider putting on some gloss to “cheer” it up. Unlike neither the previous “Rare Exotic” from the Posh Paradise collection nor “Candy Yum Yum” from the QUITE CUTE collection, this is less neon but still keeps its intensity. More like a Viva Glam “Lady Gaga” shade if you were to ask for a comparison.
“Innocence, Beware!” – Sounds familiar doesn’t it? – It’s sort of some kind of consistent thing that M.A.C has been doing for their recent collection. A neutral tone for those who don’t favor anything too fancy. This is a rather milky-peach-beige color, again an everyday pick lipstick I would say. With its cremesheen finishing, it’s almost like you hardly wear any color on your lips. And because of that, I actually thought of some other uses for this lipstick; use it as a base to lighten some colors that you may find too bright to wear. *Important*, do not wear it on its own if you have tanned skin because it will make you look pale instead. Light peach gloss will add a nice twist to it.
Because both colors are rather milky, you will have to wear slightly more colors on your face to compensate your lips. Go with a thicker line for the eyes or pair it with some gold/bronze shadow.
Editor’s note : Products are press samples. Many thanks to Camie for review and pics.
