I spotted this latest addition to Hada Labo’s range of skincare at Guardian Pharmacy a few weeks ago. Hada Labo’s Super Hyaluronic Acid (SHA) Moisturizing Cleansing Oil is formulated with high purity Olive Oil. It claims to be able to remove stubborn makeup instantly, including waterproof mascara.
Each pump doesn’t dispense much (which is a good thing) so I need roughly 4-5 pumps to cleanse my face of make-up. Normally, I’d use a separate eye make-up remover but in the interests of finding out whether this Cleansing Oil could remove all eye make-up, I didn’t use a separate eye make-up remover the first time I used this product.
While this Cleansing Oil was efficacious in removing foundation, powder, eyeshadow and blusher, there were still traces of my non-waterproof mascara on my lashes. I had to finish the job with cotton tips and eye make-up remover.
This Cleansing Oil leaves my skin feeling comfortable, soft, smooth and moisturized after the wash. I like it even though it didn’t manage to remove all eye make-up residues, that doesn’t bother me because I prefer using a separate eye make-up remover with whatever type of cleanser anyway.
Those who like their cleansers or any other skincare products unscented can take a look at Hada Labo’s products since they are fragrance-free and those who don’t like mineral oil as a skincare ingredient need not worry as this is a mineral oil free product. I don’t have an issue with fragrance in skincare products unless they are really off-putting and neither am I bothered by the presence of mineral oil in cleansing oils.
Hada Labo (SHA) Moisturizing Cleansing Oil (200ml/RM49.90) is available at all leading pharmacies now.
