Hada Labo’s ‘We Care for Nature’ green campaign has successfully replant 700 forest tree saplings in Kuala Selangor Nature Park. The replanting of trees will commence in January and is expected to be completed by March 2022.
Through its month-long campaign that was held the second year in collaboration with Malaysia Nature Society (MNS) and Watsons Malaysia, RM1 from the sales proceed of each Hada Labo Supreme Booster Serum sold at Watsons outlet nationwide was channelled towards the tree planting fund. We have successfully raised RM50,000 to support this campaign.
MNS Executive Director Mr I.S Shanmugaraj said he is glad to have joined forces with Hada Labo for the second year in giving back to nature. Hada Laba’s contribution came just in time as the park has recently lost a huge number of trees due to ecotourism.
“Trees planted will take at least 4 years to grow into full grown trees of about 10 feet tall. So we are hopeful to see the river bund area of Kuala Selangor Nature Park, a home to the many wildlife and different species of birds again,” said Shanmugaraj.
Hada Labo’s CSR fund that contributes to the replanting of the forest trees especially at the river bund area not only prevents disruption of habitat belonging to the increasing number of bird species from different parts of the world, but it also helps maintain the overall ecosystem of freshwater organism,” he added.
Meanwhile, Lim Mei Yuen, who is the General Manager of Rohto-Mentholatum Malaysia said the brand hopes to have a long-term working relationship with MNS to contribute to its Green Canopy Project, which aims to improve the environment in the Klang Valley by planting more trees.
“As a skincare brand that aims to provide the best for our consumers, we also believe that the state of the environment plays a huge role in our overall health and more importantly, the lives of generations to come. Hada Labo would like to pursue the kindness to the earth and contribute to a greener planet. Therefore, we want to do our part to protect and preserve the environment so that all of us can have better chances to live a heathy and fulfilling life,” said Lim, who also expressed her gratitude to the public for supporting Hada Labo’s cause.
“This campaign would not have been a success without the constant support from the public, so for that we are really thankful,” added Lim.
