Yesterday, Haier Malaysia signed an agreement extending the partnership with 2022 BWF World Champions Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik as its brand ambassadors.
The badminton duo will be the face of Haier’s ‘Inspire Future Dreams’ campaign that seeks to inspire and motivate Malaysians to pursue their dreams and strive for success in all aspects of life. The pair have gone on to clinch Malaysia’s first ever gold medal at the 2022 BWF World Championships, as well as conclude their debut Commonwealth Games and Asian Games campaigns with bronze medals. In October 2023, the pair triumphed at the Denmark Open to end their six-year wait for a BWF World Tour title.

At the same signing ceremony event, Haier Malaysia also announced a 45% sales growth target for 2024. In line with this, the company unveiled a range of advanced household appliances in six categories that will headline its product range in the first quarter of 2024.
These products designed to make living better and more enjoyable include air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, televisions, water heaters and kitchen appliances.
To make residences even more homely, Haier’s new UV Cool Premium (VXA) and UV Cool Smart (VRA) series air conditioners have built-in Wi-Fi modules, enabling users to set their preferred temperature and settings from anywhere for ultimate convenience via the Haismart application. These air conditioners have UVC sterilisation that purifies the air and inhibits transmission of airborne bacteria and viruses to promote healthier living. It has been certified to a 99.991% efficiency rate in removing SARS-CoV-2 by Texcell, and a 99% virus removal rate by SGS. These same convenience and well-being features are also incorporated into Haier’s new light commercial air conditioners for office use.
The newest 4-door refrigerator, HRF-IM758LXG(B), incorporates Haismart application to provide ultimate convenience to users. After connecting the fridge to a Wi-Fi network, users can remotely perform food management, mode control, temperature control, and even receive personalised tips on recipes via the app. Another neat feature is the Daylight feature that provides better and more even illumination throughout the fridge when the door is opened for greater visibility, even in the dark.
Haier also announced that its first wine chillers for Malaysia will coming in 2024 – the WS-198 and WS-118. These chillers feature Natural Air Flow System technology to better maintain constant temperature and retain humidity. Quality of wines stored in these chillers will be retained for longer thanks to optimal temperature regulation.
Meanwhile, an upcoming front load washing machine makes doing laundry more convenient. The BD14266S8 is Wi-Fi compatible, allowing users to control the washer from anywhere within the house. It also comes with a vivid and elegant Colour Ai display panel for more precise control over settings.
Complementing the homely lineup will be new hood and hobs. The HH-GT6907GB hood sports a large bionic volute design that contributes to a strong, unrestricted airflow of 2200m3/h while remaining quiet. The HC-Q893STGB, HC-Q872PTGB, and HC-Q872PTDG hobs meanwhile have a Timer Setting which automatically shuts off gas supply once the timer runs out to avoid potential hazardous accidents.
