According to Head&Shoulders, selfies are out! Groufie is in! Head&Shoulders, the world’s number one anti-dandruff shampoo launched #mylargestgroufie, a campaign to encourage Malaysians to get closer and to put their heads together as being dandruff free gives you the confidence to take groufies.

Head&Shoulders Brand Ambassadors, popular award-winning Malaysian actress, Lisa Surihani and Soo Kui Jien, popular TV host and one of the most recognisable faces in Asian television, kicked off the #mylargestgroufie campaign in epic style with guests at the launch joining Lisa and Jien in taking the largest groufie photo! Lisa and Jien also shared insights of how having healthy, beautiful and dandruff-free hair boosts confidence.

Why groufie?

A Head&Shoulders Asia-wide survey* reveals that groufies are taking social media by storm.

At least 80% of people think they look happier in groufies while 81% say doing group activities make them feel happier. 85% of Asians enjoy and value physical connections with friends while a whopping 94% say physical closeness with loved ones make them feel happier. But one of the major reasons stopping people from taking groufies is, dandruff.

Did you know that one out of two people suffer from dandruff? In the survey, 65% of respondents say their dandruff problem affected their confidence to get physically close to people and are self-conscious when taking a groufie. Four out of 10 people who suffer from dandruff don’t have the confidence to get close in social settings and believe that dandruff free folks have more fun.
