Tourism Authority Thailand (TAT) Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in collaboration with the Royal Thai Embassy and Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) organised the “Hello Thailand”, a consumer fairs and festivals event held at Central i-City Mall. Shah Alam, Selangor between 22-27 November 2022.
The goal of the event is to create awareness of Thailand’s image through activities, products, and the various cultures of Thailand. To stimulate Malaysian tourists and promote travel to Thailand in various ways, by land, by air and especially by cruise to Phuket, by working with tour agent partners through attractive promotions and packages, and to build confidence in terms of travel and safety, as well as to explore new tourist attractions such as Phang Nga and Samui from this event.
In this event, visitors had the opportunity to enjoy daily stage shows for Muay Thai and two special Thai Tradition Dance Art, one called Menorah or Nora, which was added to UNESCO’s prestigious heritage list last year in December 2021 and the other one called Khon Masked Dance which was added to UNESCO’s list of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity in 2018.
Moreover, there was a cooking demo for famous Thai food like Pad Thai, Tom Yam, Som Tum and mango sticky rice. At the workshop session, everyone could learn to make Luk Chub or Mung Bean desserts, make Krathongs and Tung Lanna or Thai Traditional Lantern.
There were more than 30 stalls selling Thai foods and delicacies, Thai massage services and merchandise ranging from jewellery, clothing & fashion which come from Thailand, gifts, home decor, decorative accessories, health & beauty products and many more.
