Feeling a bit hungry this afternoon, I was thinking of my journey on the coach to Kuantan last Monday. We’d been given food boxes containing a drink, an apple and a brown paper bag containing a chicken salami sandwich from Simply Sandwiches. It looks like a gourmet sandwich and is stuffed with yummy ingredients.
I am not a fan of tomatoes, mustard or wholemeal bread but to my utter surprise, the whole sandwich was simply delicious. I wolfed down one sandwich without taking a photo, then I asked one of the PR people where they got the sandwich from and she pointed out the label to me. She said I could have another one if I liked since they had many extra.
My excuse for taking another one was that I needed some photos. Oh okay, I will just admit I was still a bit hungry after the 1st sandwich and why let good food go to waste? Besides, we had another 2+ hours before reaching our destination. The combination of flavours in this sandwich was marvellous. Normally I’ll pick out tomatoes from any sandwich but not this time. Everything came together perfectly in this sandwich and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for gourmet sandwiches. For more information, do read this. Having this sandwich in my belly made the 4+ hour trip much more tolerable and pleasant. I only wish I had had this again on my way back to KL!
I am hungry looking at this. i don’t mind tomatoes but always the one picking all the cucumbers. I just don’t like the taste.

Yup! cucumbers + tomatoes + cheese and mayonnaise sauce are the perfect match inside the sandwich! Omgg..hungry now X_X
My ultimate favourite is their shrimp sandwich. There are pieces of marinated shrimp in them. Slurp! 🙂
I am feeling so hungry….I really could do with any one of their sandwiches right now. Wonder if there is a minimum order?
