One of the bodycare products I always check out whenever I visit a Kiehl’s outlet is their body scrub because I am at an age when I need body scrubs more than ever? Yeah, probably that plus the fact that I kind of love the scent of their body scrubs which do not have an artificial scent.
Kiehl’s Lavender Gently Exfoliating Body Scrub has aloe vera and chamomile in it, these are soothing and calming ingredients. I was expecting the scrub to be lavender (in colour, I mean) but it’s just white with a rather subtle lavender scent. Very pleasant to the olfactory senses. Doesn’t give me the sensation of being in the middle of a field of lavender but close enough.
I’m not sure why it’s been called a “gentle” scrub but I’m not saying that in a bad way. I don’t like gentle body scrubs anyway. I like body scrubs where I can feel the scrub particles rubbing against my skin and this scrub does exactly that.
Once rubbed against damp skin, the scrub stays on my skin without falling off. There is a tiny bit of lather which is another good aspect of this scrub. It’s easy to wash off without any residue left on my skin. There’s a faint scent left on my skin which dissipates once soap/shower gel has been used over it.
I liked this scrub so much I used up the entire 5ml sample sachet. At first, I’d used half of the contents but my skin felt so superbly smooth and soft after it’d been washed off that I just kept going until the whole sachet had been used up.
Kiehl’s Gently Exfoliating Body Scrubs come in 200ml bottles and retail at RM90.
