All the overnight masks I’ve used todate have been masks to boost hydration levels. Kiehl’s Over-Night Biological Peel is a treatment mask to facilitate the natural exfoliation process. I’ve had a few sample sachets for some time and it was about time to try them out.
When I applied this clear gel-textured mask, the first thing I noticed was the odor. Not liking it at all as it smelt weird, indescribable like some chemical and rather pungent. I didn’t go to sleep immediately after applying it. I waited about an hour hoping it would dry up a bit but there was still a noticeable film when I went to sleep and it felt sticky. I had to position myself so my face wouldn’t touch the pillow.
When I woke up in the middle of the night, my face still felt sticky. The result was smoother skin after washing it off in the morning but I think I will stick to using exfoliators as I can’t get past the scent and sticky feel of the Over-Night Biological Peel. I would consider getting this one if the scent was improved/changed.
Kiehl’s Over-Night Biological Peel is 50ml/RM199.
