From an interesting discussion with a representative of a fragrance brand, I have gathered that vanilla isn’t a scent most Asians like. Maybe the scent is associated with baking and food but whatever the reason, vanilla just isn’t the majority of Asians’ favourite scent.
Kiehl’s body cleanser have always been my favourite though, no matter what their scent and the Vanilla & Cedarwood Skin-Softening Body Cleanser doesn’t smell too vanilla. It’s a good balance of vanilla and cedarwood, not too sweet and doesn’t remind me of the vanilla extract in the kitchen.
Despite being sulfate-free, this body cleanser lathers up wonderfully. There’s so much luxurious foam when I use it with a bath sponge and it is pretty economical as I pour out just a little for each shower and it is enough. Marvellous scent which isn’t overpowering and gives my skin a wonderful softness.
This is one body cleanser I wouldn’t mind using all year round. Maybe I am one of the few Asians who actually like the scent of vanilla in my body products. By the way, the vanilla is grown on small, sustainable farms in Uganda.
I don’t have the price of this one but it should be between RM75-90 for 250ml? It’s part of Kiehl’s Aromatic Blends range which also include scents like Fig Leaf & Sage and Orange Flower & Lychee.
I am one of those who does not like vanilla scented products!
Out of curiousity, have you tried any Kiehl’s bodycare products like their lotions/shower gels?
Nope…
