Immortelle is a unique flower with exceptional longevity as it never fades even when picked. It retains its yellow colour even when it’s dried. It’s a popular ingredient in skincare as its essential oil is rich in active molecules and has anti-aging results. The other key ingredient in L’occitane’s Immortelle range is Bellis Perennis, the daisy flower with a brightening extract that contributes to regulate melanin production.
L’occitane Immortelle Brightening Foaming Cleanser has a soap-free formula so it doesn’t feel harsh on the skin. The cleanser looks very pearly and even luminous. The scent is delightful as it’s like washing my face with crushed flowers. It produces a very rich foam that feels ultra-pampering on my skin.
L’occitane recommends using this cleansing foam with massage techniques. Begin by massaging the lower part of the face with fingers, using light circular movements, then gently work upwards. Continue these circular movements over the cheeks and nose. In addition, one can massage the forehead and temples, working down to the neck.
I was quite skeptical about its brightening properties/effect but it really does brighten my complexion with each use. I won’t go so far as to say that using this cleanser alone has evened out my skin tone but even without the use of an exfoliator before this cleanser, I do notice my complexion is brighter.
L’occitane Immortelle Brightening Foaming Cleanser retails at RM103/125ml.
