The concept of having a foundation/BB Cream adapting to your skin tone is not new. Other brands have introduced their own version of it, some with more success than others. One such foundation I really liked ans am still using from time to time is Josie Maran’s Argan Matchmaker Serum Foundation.

Now L’oreal has introduced the Lucent Magique Skin Luminating BB Cream which contains micro-encapsulated pigments that break up on application to release the coloured pigments which are said to adjust to our skin tones.

What comes out of the tube is a whitish cream which I expected to give me a natural looking complexion. The BB Cream felt a bit rough when I applied it, it was like using a mild scrub. Perhaps it’s because of the capsules in the cream.

So much for adjusting to my skin tone. It left a whitish cast, my face was a few shades lighter than my neck. I’d have looked better without the BB Cream. What nude skin result? It was more like a white skin result. My opinion in a nutshell? I think they should re-look the formula. It might work on others but it didn’t work on me.

Les images parlent pour elles-mêmes! The images speak for themselves! L’oreal Paris Lucent Magique Skin Illuminating BB Cream retails at RM49.90.
