Initiated by L’Oreal Professionnel in 2002 for The Malaysian Aids Foundation (MAF), Colour for Life is a nationwide fundraising campaign to give hope and help the children infected and affected by HIV. This campaign also strives to create awareness and reinforce the idea that each of us, no matter which industry we are in, who we are, where we come from, can in way or another make a difference in the lives of these children. To further ride on the success of the campaign in 2002 and 2007, the brand decided to stride and run the campaign for this year.

This year L’oreal Professionnel has partnered with their 5 L’Oreal Professionnel Artistic Ambassadors and 5 renowned designers (Eric Choong, Datuk Professor (Dr) Jimmy Choo Yeang Keat OBE, Royal Selangor, Tom Abang Saufi, Winnie Sin), each a maestro in their own craft to colour the hair of the chosen personalities and to design a t-shirt each for the campaign.

These 5 designs will be worn by 26 renowned personalities such as Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir, Dato Ruby Khong, Deborah Henry, Carmen Soo, Fahrin Ahmad, Mizz Nina, Deanna Yusoff, Yeo Yan Yan, Jack Lim, Gillian Hung and many more who are also maestros in their chosen path of life and people who are very charitable and willing to do their part despite their success and busy schedules.

The main objective of this campaign is to bring together designers, celebrities, socialites, philanthropists and people who have contributed to our society, salons to champion this worthy cause. Last but not least, L’oreal Professionnel would like to provide the opportunity for the public to lend a helping hand. Hence, they have replicated the exquisite designs into limited edition tote bags so that customers can contribute by donating RM25.00 and obtain their favourite design after a hair colouring make-over in L’oreal Professionnel partner salons. So, please do look out for this recycle bag in L’Oreal Professionnel salons near you.

For the grand finale, L’oreal Professionnel will be organizing a Charity Hair Cut Drive in October 2013 where L’oreal Professionnel professional hair stylists will cut hair for the public for RM20.00 only. This is where the public can also do their part for the children and get a new look for the year end.

  1. all,the design are beautiful and unique but if i can only choose one, i guess typical girl- Datuk Professor (Dr) Jimmy Choo Yeang Keat OBE. Then i can boast that i wear Jimmy Choo on my body with his signature.

    • The t-shirts aren’t for sale to the public as they are only worn by the celebrities. However, the tote bags which have the same designs as the t-shirts are for sale at L’oreal Professionnel partner salons.
