Today is World AIDS Day, the day dedicated to raising awareness of AIDS and M.A.C. Cosmetics Malaysia presented this year’s proceeds from the sales of M.A.C. Viva Glam products amounting to RM550,872.00 to five organizations which are their pilot program: Persatuan Wahidayah Malaysia, CAKNA (Pertubuhan Komuniti CAKNA Daerah Kuala Terengganu), KASIH (Kota Kinabalu AIDS Support Services Association), WAKE (Women and Health Association of Kuala Lumpur) and SAGA (Sandakan AIDS Support Group Association). Since 2000, M.A.C. Malaysia has donated a total of RM2.5 million from the sales of the Viva Glam products.
M.A.C. Malaysia continued its commitment to increase HIV awareness and education through its long-term partnership with Malaysian AIDS Council and Malaysian AIDS Foundation. Malaysian AIDS Council Red Ribbon Celebrity Supporters Dayang Nurfaizah and Fahrin Ahmad were present at M.A.C. Sogo to pin red ribbons on shoppers and enticing them to play a part in raising awareness for HIV/AIDS by purchasing the M.A.C. Viva Glam products.

On 27th November, M.A.C. Malaysia employees organised a first time joint effort with SMRC (Suria Meriang Recreation Club) to participate in the volunteering initiative at Rumah Wahidayah. They donated their time, energy and skills to improve the well being of women and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
M.A.C. Cosmetics is going to make twice the impact this World AIDS Day as they will match all Viva Glam product sales on any of the MACcosmetics.com ecommerce sites for a double donation.
