Last December, MAC Cosmetics invited me for their Technique Workshop and the presentation was by Senior Artist, Haritha Shan who demonstrated how to go from the femme to feline look, i.e. day to night look. I have been to one of their Technique Workshops before but it’s always good to get a refresher. You never know what new tips you can pick up from the 2 hour workshop.
Firstly, Haritha showed us how to prep skin before make-up. Apply Lightful Softening Lotion which contains a mix of antioxidants, repairing ingredients, and soothing agents designed to calm redness and reinforce skin’s healthy barrier function. It’s even got a positive review in Paula’s Choice.
Next, spray on Charged Water of which there are 3 types to replenish loss of hydration.
Apply Prep + Prime Moisture Infusion Serum which can be mixed with foundation and concealer for a dewy look.
Apply Mineralize Charged Water Face And Body Lotion which is an “everywhere” lotion that fuses diamond powder with our ionized Super-Duo Charged Water technology to give immediate hydration to the skin. Rich, yet gentle, leaves skin soft and supple while strengthening its overall capacity for moisture.
The last step of the prepping process is to apply eye cream and in this case, it’s the Fast Response Eye Cream which is the super-charged, caffeinated cream with instant effects. De-puffs, erases the look of dark circles, firms, soothes and softens skin around the eye. Special optics act like magic to fade away lines.
Haritha recommends applying eye cream from inner to outer area of the eye as applying it from outer to inner will pull down the skin.
