MAC Makeup Artists refer to face charts when they do backstage makeup for fashion or theatre shows although one would hardly think they need to refer to anything when they are doing makeup for models/actors. It’s very interesting to study these face charts as one can learn a thing or two on the art of makeup. Sometimes I browse through their face charts when I am in a MAC outlet as they will have prepared face charts for every collection.
The pics of these face charts were taken during Malaysia International Fashion Week when I was backstage observing MAC’s Artistic Team at work. These charts are the looks for various shows during MIFW last year.
This look was created for Bernard Chandran’s show on 23rd November 2011:-
Studio Sculpt Foundation is mixed with a drop of Cleanse-Off Oil for a sheer sheen, no-shine look. Blue glittery eyeliner goes upwards in a disconnected line so the eyes look lifted. Cheeks are soft and sculpted. Only gloss is used on lips and for lashes, it’s Lash #7.
