The foundations produced nowadays are getting better with more benefits than what was available several years ago. Why do we apply foundation? For the majority of us, it’s to achieve a flawless, even-toned, radiant and glowing complexion and some of us even look for foundations with SPF.
MAC Mineralize Moisture SPF15 Foundation has been reviewed here. It contains a combination of powders to create an optical blurring effect that virtually diminishes imperfections and fine lines, for a more even tone and this foundation is ideal for dry skins.
I have a bottle of Mineralize Moisture SPF15 Foundation worth RM150 to give away. Just tell me what you look for when choosing a foundation, e.g. do you look for foundations that give you light, medium or full coverage, what type of foundations do you prefer, etc.

When choosing a foundation, I always look for medium coverage because it can create a natural look without making you looking too “porcelain” like a doll. Also, I always look for foundation with long staying power so that I don’t have to touch up frequently. Foundations in the market nowadays offer more additional benefits as you said. So when choosing foundation I will look for those which can provide moisturizing effect and SPF.
Thanks for having this giveaway!
Hi,
I prefer full coverage because of my obvious pores and acne marks! I would love foundation that give me a radiance look with light texture. I also like foundation which is easy to apply! ^ ^
Thanks for generous giveaway again ^ ^
Thanks for the giveaway.
When choosing a foundation, I usually looks for moisturising one as makeup tends to get dry easily on my skin and having those dry patches definitely doesn’t make me look good at all. It is even worse when I can’t cover up the nasolabial fold and wearing the wrong foundation will make it more apparent since the foundation will get caught at the lines and thus make me look older!
As for coverage, I prefer medium or full coverage and also a light texture as I don’t really like ‘feeling’ something on face all the time. I find it very important to choose one that caters to the my sensitive skin type and mineral foundation suits me more as it doesn’t break me out. Besides that I don’t really like foundation that has too strong fragrance that lasted all the time I am wearing it because I don’t like to be reminded that I am wearing foundation.
When hunting for the right foundation, the first thing I look for is a matte finish with medium coverage. As I am usually in an air conditioned environment, the foundation must not be too mattifying to the point it dries out my skin. It must have oil absorbing properties with slight moisture. I also look for foundations that do not oxidize after long hours (very hard to find…..) which I have yet to discover! The COLOUR range is also important to me. I prefer liquid or cream to powder as it is less messy and faster to apply as I can do it with my fingers and less drying for my skin. I also have to ensure that the foundation will not clog pores as it will be on my face for more than 8 hours! Another factor I take into deep consideration is the design of the bottle or container that the foundation comes in. Pump bottles or bottles with slender openings are my favorites as these type dispenses foundation accurately and faster without much fuss. Tub designs are the worst as the foundation oxidizes and dries up before I can finish it. I also sometimes look for foundation with very very slight shimmer just so that my face does not look 2d.
I always tend to pick those foundation that is with enough of moisture level inside. really need that because my skin will get dry with foundation especially around my jaw and eyes. Morning is fresh look and then when it come around 11am , lines appear on my face >< around the eyes and jaw 🙁 besides, I prefer foundation with lower SPF because I am working indoor, in the office. Lower SPF should be enough for me to fight with the lighting indoor 😀 I prefer liquid foundation rather than foundation cake 😀 light – medium coverage is perfect for me to match with my loose powder ^_^
this MAC foundation seem interesting 😉 I do need optical blurring effect so that my skin looks more flawless ~
ps: thank you for the giveaway ~ appreciate it! ^_^
Hi dear, Thanks for having this giveaway ^^
I will look for foundation with minerals that would help my face tone become even and flawless. Mineralize foundation has less harm to my skin. I would prefer foundation with ‘multi-task’ such as SPF so that i dont have to apply another layer of sun Protector, with moisture elements so that it prevents my face from dehydrated and look dull throughout the day (bcs i always make up from day to night) and also must be able to cover, medium coverage is good enough and look most natural as high coverage will block my pores easily. I would prefer fluid type foundation so that it is easier to apply on my face evenly.
I would like to try MAC Mineralize Moisture SPF15 Foundation because i’m so attracted to its optical blurring effect!! Hope it can help my face to have even tone yet acting as a skin care (SPF & moisturizer) in the same time 😀
