This is probably one of the most anticipated MAC collections of the year. After all, it is the collaboration with Prabal Gurung, designer extraordinaire. The gold casing of the lipstick is so unlike most MAC collections and some have said it looks more like it’s from an Estee Lauder collection.
The lipstick casing does not feel heavy though and despite the appearance, feels rather plasticky and light. The lipstick is Carmine Rouge, a shade of crimson red and it glides on to lips smoothly. With just one application, my lips are already saturated with the colour and it feels slightly more hydrating than the lipsticks in their regular permanent collection. Yes with this one, you get full coverage with one application and that is just what I like about any lipstick as I can get more mileage out of it.
It doesn’t leave much of a stain on a cup when I drink and it lasts till meal time without fading. It’s a beautiful shade and in regard to texture, very good as it feels so smooth with excellent colour pay-off. As this is a collaboration with an acclaimed designer, expect to pay upwards of RM100+ for this. I understand that the rest of this collection is going to be much pricier than similar products from other collections.

The colour is beautiful, the casing looks luxurious and it can last long since it is so pigmented. Lovely shades!
Awwwww I love this red so much!
The packaging is a Killer!
