Renowned Malaysian celebrity chef, television host and restaurateur Datuk Dr. Chef Wan joined K-Eco Mart (M) Sdn. Bhd at the grand launch of ‘K PLUS Food Market’ – Malaysia’s first and largest all-inclusive premium Korean food market. The one-of-a-kind, all inclusive food market spans over 28,000 sq. ft that offers everything from Korean inspired cafes, fresh meat and seafood corner, special Korean side dish (banchan) and kimchi corner and much more.

The food market was launched as an initiative by K-Eco Mart (M) Sdn. Bhd to connect the cultural bridge between Malaysia and Korea alongside promoting cross-cultural tourism between the two nations; as the demand for Korean products has been continuously rising due to the influence of Korean pop culture on Malaysians. K-Eco Mart as Malaysia’s leading retailer in the country that carries many sought after consumer products including food and beverages, beauty, home living and more; found it timely for Malaysians to discover and experience the ‘Korean way of Living’ through this massive one stop-hub.

Additionally, with Malaysia going through its’ endemic phase, the food market also acts as a landmark for locals who are still hesitant on traveling overseas due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Committed to giving the Malaysians an immersive Korean cultural experience, K-Eco Mart consulted Seoul’s finest interior designer prior to the renovation of K PLUS FOOD MARKET to present elevated aesthetic displays for visitors to replicate the feel of modern Korean lifestyle in the safety and comfort of their own country.
