Celebrating the Merdeka spirit, trailblazing Malaysian fintech company, Meen Tech Network Sdn Bhd (Meen Tech), has marked its official entry into the smartphone market with the introduction of its flagship smartphone series — the Meen M60.

Rooted in decades of experience in mobile phone assembly, Meen Tech is now taking the next step in its evolution – taking centre stage as an innovator and creator of Malaysia’s latest and very own smartphone series. Proudly designed in Malaysia, the Meen M60 is a flagship smartphone featuring top-of-the-line specifications – designed to be the stylish showcase of Meen Tech’s potential within the smartphone industry.

Its dual-camera photography capabilities redefine picture-taking with a 16-megapixel front camera, seamlessly integrating front-blurring capabilities and cutting-edge AI algorithms for stunning selfies, while a 64-megapixel high-definition main camera on the rear captures every detail with precision.

The dual-sim device measures 163mm in height, 76mm in width and 9mm in depth coming in at a compact 215g in weight. Display-wise it features a 6.53 inches AMOLED 120Hz screen with beautifully rounded corners, delivering an overall resolution of 1440x 2560 pixels.

Under the hood, this smartphone offers premium performance, powered by the Snapdragon 888 processor. Paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space with support for an additional 256GB of external memory, it effortlessly handles multitasking and offers substantive storage, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Additionally, the rapid-charge high-capacity battery, coupled with the Type-C fast charging system, ensures that even the busiest Malaysians can stay connected on the go, making this smartphone an essential companion for the fast-paced lifestyle of today.

Presented in three elegant colour options — Deep Sea Blue, Ceramic Black, and Ruixue Crystal — the phone showcases a sleek and slim design that marries form with function. The brand introduction and Meen M60 unveiling took place at The Great Room of W Hotel Kuala Lumpur and was officiated by Meen Tech brand ambassador, Tan Boon Heong, former World No. 1 in badminton men’s doubles, and pride of the country.

Also taking place during the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Koperasi Pasaraya Malaysia Berhad (Kopasar). The collaboration establishes a collaborative partnership between both parties for the marketing, sales, and distribution of further Meen Tech products by Kopasar, both locally and internationally.

Also signed was an MoU between Meen Tech with Meta M. This agreement establishes an official partnership for the development of a Meen Tech-owned e-wallet application, called UME Token, with Meta-M in the role of app developer.

The launch of the Meen M60 series builds on Meen Tech’s already impressive line-up of smart devices including smart watches, speakers, wireless and VR headsets, smart tablets, and laptops, to name a few. Also in the works are plans to further innovate and improve existing models, with the impending announcement of the Meen Tech M70, and i19 series smartphones that are set to debut in the first quarter of 2024.
