We’re spoilt for choice when it comes to drugstore eye makeup removers. Just about every brand has its own eye makeup remover but I always seem to gravitate back to Maybelline’s make up remover for eye and lip.
This is a bi-phase product which has to be shaken before pouring out. It has a small hole in the stopper to control the amount poured out. I’ve always repurchased this eye make up remover because it’s so effective at removing all manner of eye make up, even the most waterproof kind and that includes the very-hard-to-remove Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Eyeliner which can’t be removed with other types of cleansers, not even my cleansing oils.
As I use the Eyestudio Gel Eyeliner by spreading it out on the back of my hand to rid the eyeliner brush of excess before applying it on my eyelids, I cleanse my hand by pouring a few drops of this make up remover over the eyeliner. Works like a charm!
The best thing about this make up remover (other than its almost incomparable cleansing properties) is that it’s not only for the eyes, it’s dual function as it can also be used to remove lipsticks/glosses.
It’s good that it comes in a 70ml plastic bottle which makes it very portable for travelling but on the other hand, I’d like it to come in a bigger size as it’s a firm favourite with me and I do go through bottles of this quickly as I am quite generous with the amount poured on the cotton pads.
