Argan Oil from Morocco is a very popular ingredient in bodycare products and we’ve seen many brands using this famous ingredient. You can even find drugstore products with argan oil in them. Argan oil has the ability to protect and regenerate dry and dehydrated skin but what is the difference between dry and dehydrated? We use “dry” and “dehydrated” in the same breath but there is a marked difference. “Dry” skin generally refers to skin that is lacking oil, whereas “dehydrated” skin is characterized as the lack of moisture in the outermost layer of the epidermis. Both skin types are often irritated, inflamed and itchy and are generally worse in areas with relatively few sebaceous (oil) glands such as the cheeks and eye area. Other symptoms can include a feeling of tightness, especially after showering, skin that feels and looks rough and sometimes flaking and scaling that could crack and lead to bleeding when it turns severe.
Melvita Argan Oil is first cold-pressed (by mechanical means) from 100% organic argan kernels. No chemical solvents, added fragrance or artificial colorants are used. When a mechanical method is used, more oil can be obtained (almost 30%) than with manual methods.
With L’Argan Bio Organic Body Oil-In-Cream, Melvita has created a unique texture to reveal the exceptional lipid replenishing powers of its organic argan oil. The richness of argan oil is captured in this very light and fluid cream which leaves my skin feeling so soft and hydrated.
I apply this on my body while my skin is still a bit damp after my shower. It is enriched with nourishing sunflower oil and protective beeswax. The formula has a high concentration of fatty acids (almost 25%) to keep skin nourished, regenerated and protected.
L’Argan Bio Organic Body Oil-In-Cream is 175ml/RM103.
