About two weeks ago, someone asked me about Neal’s Yard Remedies. I admitted that I’d dropped by their counter at Isetan KLCC months ago but hadn’t tried anything. The person was asking because she had fallen in love with the brand after purchasing two products. After that, there was no stopping her as she went on to purchase a lot more and she noticed the improvement in her skin condition.
Then I attended Neal’s Yard Remedies’ official launch of their flagship store at The Gardens Mall and they also launched their latest Frankincense product, Frankincense Intense. Neal’s Yard Remedies first opened its doors in Covent Garden in 1981. They were one of the first few brands that pushed against the synthetic chemical approach to skin and health care.
Their vision was to bring the expertise of the apothecary and their holistic approach to health and beauty. You will see plenty of beautiful blue bottles at Neal’s Yard Remedies. Blue bottles are a trademark feature of the apothecary trade which thrived in the 17th century, the blue bottles were filled with herbs and potions.
Neal’s Yard Remedies has made a stand against animal testing, their products are never tested on animals. They employ independent companies that use human volunteers to test trial their products for safety and quality assurance. They actively support and promote organic farming and the use of only certified organic ingredients in their products. Their products do not contain silicones, synthetic fragrances, BHT or other harmful substances that may cause long term damage to our bodies.
Their flagship store at The Gardens Mall is a sight to behold as the packaging is beautiful and there are gift sets which are ideal for this holiday season. There are products for men, mums, mums-to-be and babies. They also offer organic body treatments and holistic facials.
The brand offers a multitude of skincare for different skin types:-

The Beautiful Skin Tea will be available for sale next year. This is a herbal tea which contains anti-oxidant rich goji berry, rosehip, hibiscus, bilberry and sweet orange. It’s said to help boost skin’s radiance. This tea was served during the launch and I could be quite addicted to it.
Frankincense Intense contains organic and wild harvested frankincense oil, gardenia plant stem cells, 3-peptide complex, organic and natural plant oils and extracts and organic argan oil. This is an anti-aging cream for reducing lines and wrinkles by firming, toning and boosting skin’s suppleness (50g/RM350).
Most of the products are priced between RM100+ to RM200+ which is reasonable for an organic brand. Many of the products have won beauty awards locally and internationally.
The packaging looks so classy!
