Established in Japan 37 years ago, SYOSS products were developed and tested by top Japanese professional hairdressers and stylists to help women in achieving salon results at the comfort of their homes. The name SYOSS is a result of the significant collaboration between Sharp and Yamahatsu in Osaka dated 1977.  To date, the SYOSS brand is available in more than 50 countries worldwide and yesterday, the brand was officially launched here.

The Japanese hairstylist, Daisuke Hamaguchi made a special appearance during the product launch and demonstrated how customers can use SYOSS hair styling products to produce head turning hairstyles. Hamaguchi is also the dedicated stylist for a number of Japanese models, actresses and celebrities. In Kuala Lumpur, Hamaguchi takes on the role as the Chief Executive Officer and technical hair educator for “Number76 Hair Salon” which has two branches and is the official hair salon for the Japanese fashion magazine, Vivi Malaysia.

The first look was on a model with long hair. For this look, Daisuke used a few pumps of SYOSS Styling Bouncy Curl Bouncy Whip and scrunched it into the model’s hair. SYOSS Styling Bouncy Curl Bouncy Whip promotes voluminous and defined long lasting curls with perfect bounce and smoothness.

The 2nd look was on a model with short curly hair and for this look, Daisuke used SYOSS Styling Strong Hold Hard Wax which Daisuke said leaves no sticky residue on his hands unlike some other waxes. It contains formula that allows you to re-style the hair so you don’t have to wash the product away when you change your mind.

The 3rd look was on a male who had absolutely no hair products on before the transformation. For this look, Daisuke used SYOSS Styling Strong Hold Hard Gel. SYOSS Styling Strong Hold Hard Gel contains fast drying formula that saves you time and effort. It especially gives perfect hold for demanding hairstyles. What’s more, it guarantees that salon shine on your hair after the application.

Daisuke advised that hair be dried completely after shampooing as wet hair will cause friction between the cuticles and lead to damage. As for the difference between hard gel and wax, it’s suitable for men and women but for the shiny look, use gel and if you want a softer look, use wax.
