Olive Tree Group, which has been established in Malaysia for 15 years, has just launched two new outlets at the foodie paradise, SkyAvenue Genting Highlands. Not too long ago, there were limited choices as far as gourmet dining was concerned at Genting Highlands but if you haven’t been to Genting Highlands in years (like me before this year), then you will be amazed at how much SkyAvenue has to offer now. The latest restaurant opened there are Olive Tree Group’s Rockafellers Kitchen + Bar and WOW (an acronym for Whiskey or ‘Whites’). Olive Tree Group currently operates 16 outlets nationwide.
Founder and Executive Director of Olive Tree Group, Leslie Gomez developed the company into a force to be reckoned with in the f & b industry and it is growing from strength to strength. Under Leslie’s development, Olive Tree Group operates fine and quality dining venues all over Malaysia.
WOW Whiskey Bar is a concept bar that focuses on whiskey, alfresco dining and gourmet Asian-Fusion style bar food in an industrial chic setting. WOW boasts a collection of whiskeys from all over the world with about 20 single malt labels. Customers here can enjoy the live music from Rockafellers next door as they enjoy their whiskeys.
Rockafellers Kitchen + Bar is the epitome of a sports bar. boasting cinema screen-sized LED TVs that perpetually showcase the best of sports action. The distinctive sections of the bar are arranged to mimic the diagram of a football team formation, with a roomy pool and football table, a breezy al fresco dining space, a spiffy live band dais where local rock bands will entertain guests from 8pm-midnight. Tucked away next to wall murals featuring rock legends such as Freddie Mercury of Queen, Jimi Hendrix and AC/DC, are banquette tables that are ideal for groups to share a good meal. The selection of food includes North Indian, European and Fusion cuisine.
Rockafellers Kitchen + Bar and WOW are open from 11am to 3am everyday.
