For the past month & then some, I have attended a number of new phone launches but so far I have yet to attend any OPPO media event. However 2 weeks ago just before Chinese New Year, I collected the OPPO Reno11 Pro for review. I love the look/design as it’s inspired by one of my favourite gemstones, the pearl. But my very 1st impression was just how light and thin the phone is and no wonder – it weighs 181g and is 7.59mm thin in Rock Grey and 7.66mm thin in Pearl White (mine is Peal White).
Some higher-end phones I’ve used have screens that are fingerprint magnets and I have to keep wiping the screen but the OPPO Reno11 Pro’s screen is smudge-free. If ever there was a phone that looks like an infinity pool, it would be the OPPO Reno11 Pro’s screen.
Everyone I have shown the OPPO Reno11 Pro to marvels at its lightness and thinness. The back of the phone has such a smooth finish. Reno11 Pro in Pearl White is made possible by OPPO’s Shimmering Pearl Design. This method combines three visually distinct layers, each shining through at different angles. The most surface-level is a textured-looking flourish, atop no less than 3.6 million tiny reflective surfaces that create a signature glimmering lustre. These are set against an almost iridescent pearl-esque sheen.
Another fun fact about the Pearl White: The purest of tones, if its pigment is even slightly off, its exquisite nature is lost. Similar to the Reno11, The Reno 11 Pro features elegantly contrasting, geometric Sunshine Ring camera designs. With both phones’ Ultra-Clear Portrait Camera Systems within, this setup consists of two confident circles housed within a metallic belt, each circle directing light so focus falls in the lenses, teasing both phones’ advanced portrait photography capabilities. Personally, I feel that this feature makes the phone design so unique and special. It gives exceptionally chic and sophisticated vibes.
