Famous for their Teochew cuisine, Pak Loh Chiu Chow @ Feast Village Starhill Gallery has its fair share of regulars. I’ve been there twice so far and although I have never yearned for Teochew cuisine (I guess I don’t know enough about it to pine for it), I have enjoyed both visits as service is prompt and the food way above expectations.

Smoked Squid in Classic Style @ RM18 certainly had a smoky flavor/taste and wasn’t at all chewy as some squid can be. This is great as starters.

Dried Scallop & Mushroom Soup with Minced Pork @ RM19 is a light, refreshing and delightful soup with lots of ingredients.

Slow-braised Duck Fillet with Chinese spices @ RM16 is another starters, lots of sauce surrounding very tender duck fillet.

My favourite at this restaurant is the Oyster Omelette, fluffy and crispy with reasonably sized oysters. I’d definitely order this again on any subsequent visits there.

This is fish noodles @ RM32 and I believe it’s a Teochew specialty. They were good but I’m just not a fan of fish noodles.

Nothing like a good dish of mixed vegetables to go with rice and here, they have mushrooms, carrots, greens and egg mixed in.
