For a long time, I could do without lip balm but nowadays (not sure if it’s the weather or age related), my lips get very dry at night as in excruciatingly dry. During the days when I could do without lip balms, I’d given away a number to my friend but luckily there is still Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Dark Chocolate & Peppermint Lip Butter in my stash.
The applicator is slanted but I don’t apply it directly from there. I apply it on to my lips with my finger. This clear lip balm is great on its own or over lipstick. On its own, it really feels like soft butter melting and I can still feel its moisturising effects the next morning. Over lipstick, it imparts a glossy sheen.
The scent reminds me of After Eights, mint wrapped in chocolate, smells so sublime. I am not a big fan of the mint scent but when combined with chocolate, the scent is simply irresistible and I look forward to using this lip balm every night.
Product is a press sample from Guardian Pharmacy.
