For many years, one of my favourite lip gloss shades was Clinique’s Glosswear Sheer Shimmer in Mystic but then it got discontinued. I asked around for it at several counters and none of them had it any more. Mystic is a berry plum shade which I always wore on its own as it was intense enough.
Clinique’s Vitamin C Lip Smoothies are the click pen type with brush applicators. On its own, it can be a little sticky so I usually apply it over lipstick. The other reasons I prefer using mine over lipstick is because it doesn’t have much staying power if I use it on its own and the shade I have is a sheer pink (Pink Me Up) which doesn’t show up much.
As it has very fine shimmer, it’s a lovely lip gloss over lipsticks. It gives my lips a nice, glossy, shiny finish. Matte lipsticks are instantly transformed into high shine.
While I do like the Lip Smoothie, I wish they contain more product as there is only 1.5ml in each one which isn’t a lot. They contain shea butter which perhaps explains why they feel quite moisturing.
