I collected this small sample of Perricone MD No Foundation Foundation SPF30 more than a year ago. I’d read so many rave reviews about it that I just had to try it out for myself. Wouldn’t a no foundation foundation give natural coverage like a BB Cream? Only one way to find out…….testing, testing.

This product is described as “the first advanced anti-aging, multi-tasking translucent foundation with non-chemical SPF 30 protection” on the Perricone MD website. It’s also described as a “multi-purpose product that provides natural translucent coverage, corrects skin undertones, instantly smoothes fine lines and boosts skin’s natural moisture throughout the day, all the while delivering antioxidant benefits”.

What I didn’t expect was for the foundation to be quite so thick. It feels like a foundation that’s going to give heavy or full coverage. It looks slightly orangey to me and has a scent I cannot describe as pleasant. I wonder if it has some of the Perricone MD skincare ingredients in it?

Thick as it may be, it didn’t take long for me to blend it into my skin. Coverage is quite sheer and natural but it gives my skin a nice looking, healthy glow. It also felt moisturising enough and my skin felt like it could still breathe so despite the thicker than expected texture, I think it suited my skin okay but I am not convinced enough to splurge on the full size product.
