Yesterday morning, The School @ Jaya One launched their second Shichi-Go-San Event, a Japanese traditional rite of passage for three and seven year old girls and three and five year old boys. I was just in time to witness the rite’s customary prayer ceremony conducted by special guest, Takebe Masahide, a shrine priest from Ikimi Tenmangu, the oldest shrine in Kyoto, Japan.
The event which will be held until 6pm today is sure to attract those who love Japanese culture and dressing up in Kimono/Yukata. There are lots of activities for adults and children to participate in.
