Last night, Bijan invited media to the ‘Selera Ibunda’ Buffet which will be rotating daily with 5 specially tailored menus. The buffet spread includes grill stations and live-cooking stalls that serve the different ‘panggang’ items and many other old favourites.
As the compound of Bijan is too constricted to allow for parking, one has to park opposite the restaurant near the upmarket condominiums. Previously, one could just park there without paying but risk the vehicle being towed away. Now, as soon as one parks, a car jockey will come up to your car before you even have time to get out and ask for RM10. I guess if you don’t pay up, your vehicle will be nowhere to be seen after your enjoyable dinner or you might suffer other damages. Whatever it may be, anyone would have to fork out the RM10 – call it a surveillance fee if you will.
My favourite dish from this sumptuous buffet spread is the Rendang Hitam Tok Wan as it goes so well with Nasi Minyak. I had at least 3 helpings of this as it is so fragrant and full of wonderful flavours, also loved the Kambing Masak Hitam.
