Some ladies prefer lengthening mascaras while others prefer curling or volumizing mascaras. If I had to make a choice, I’d go for a volumizing mascara as lengthening mascaras tend to give me thin, spidery lashes and I would much rather have fat lashes. Anyway, it’s a matter of personal preference just as some may prefer metallic to satin eye shadows.
Sephora has a glam mascara which offers volume. It has a black, criss-cross design with a brush that looks like a lash comb. It’s a triple-reservoir elastomer brush with a spherical tip for added precision and ultra-fine bristles to deliver volume all the way to the end of the lash.
The bristles give good definition to every lash, the colour is a very satisfactory intense black, the volumizing effect is evident after just a few applications with some lengthening and in general, this is a better than average volumizing mascara.
The formula is enriched with hyaluronic acid which has hydrating properties. Unfortunately, this wasn’t entirely smudge-proof for me. There was smudging on the under-eye area after just a few hours’ of wear.
