My first thought when I saw this product was that it was for men because black packaging normally means it’s a men’s product. Then, I saw that Lisa Surihani was endorsing the product and no where does it say that it’s a men’s product. My first impression was wrong.
A black cleanser that brightens skin? This one seemed rather interesting so I couldn’t wait to put it to the test, especially since it has been formulated specially for Asian skin. I am particularly drawn towards skincare products created specifically for Asian skin.
This is a dual-purpose cleanser as it purifies (removes excess oil) as well as brightens with 2 natural ingredients:-
1. Euclyptus Extract for calming skin irritations, reducing redness and preventing dryness.
2. Mineral Clay for trapping oil and dirt to clear impurities and excess oil, detoxifies and exfoliates the skin.
Nowhere on the product does it say that this cleanser is for removing make-up but I have been using it to this purpose just to see how effective it is. It has a mild fruity scent which is very pleasant. The texture of the cleanser is nice and soft. I lather it up on my palms. It doesn’t produce a thick lather but enough to feel quite cushiony on skin. Is cushiony even a word or did I just make it up?
Anyway, does it remove make-up? To my surprise, it is effective much! Another surprise is that my skin felt really smooth after washing off the cleanser. I don’t know about brighter since I don’t believe that cleanser alone can brighten skin. They need to be used with a brightening skincare regime for best results, that’s my 2 sen’s worth for what it’s worth.
