There are a number of tattoo art shops on Level 1 of Sungei Wang Plaza and they are frequented by locals and tourists alike. I’ve never stepped foot into any of them until our Halloween tour which commenced after lunch at U-Café. We visited JR Tattoo, Bloody Ink and Iron Bunny Tattoo Studio. Some customers were having their tattoo sessions at these studios and I have to admit it was painful to watch the process.
However for those not ready for permanent tattoos, there are pain-free options such as airbrush tattoos as offered by Bloody Ink. I got myself a doggy tattoo and this will last about a week before fading.
At Iron Bunny, I had a chat with tattoo artist, Hanzhi who showed me the impressive tattoos on his arm (work-in-progress).
Hanzhi explained that small tattoos like stars can take just 10 minutes to complete and small designs cost about RM150. Bigger tattoos will require more time like a few sessions over a period of several days. I don’t think I have the stomach to sit through a 5 minute session but never say never as I might change my mind in a few years.
Wow the pain he endured for the whole arm!
I can’t imagine the pain that he went through, tattoo over the whole arm oh my god!
