Upbeat is a health bar at Avenue K and they offer specially crafted juice cleanse plan to help you detox and reset your body. For each day of the cleanse, you will receive 6 bottles of raw, fresh cold-pressed juice to replace solid food and snacks. You can choose between 1 to 6 day cleanse programme.
They also offer protein shakes – there’s a peanut butter shake I didn’t dare to try. I settled for the freshly blended mango matcha which isn’t too sweet. It tastes more of matcha than mango actually so this is an ideal refreshing cold drink for matcha fans.
Upbeat has a small seating area, this is clearly a place for a quick meal but it is comfortable. They offer light meals like tortilla wraps. Choose from Gourmet Chicken, Mushroom Galore and Wholesome Croquette. I settled for the Wholesome Croquette as I like potatoes. Wholesome Croquette contains baked mushroom croquettes, cherry tomatoes, lettuce and secret house sauce.
The tortilla is grilled till it is crispy and the filling is generous with enough sauce so it doesn’t taste dry. That’s very important to me as I so dislike it when eateries stinge on the sauce. Not so at Upbeat. The sauce tastes quite tangy and goes very well with the filling which is warm for some time. I recommend the tortilla wraps here, it is above average quality.
Upbeat is located at L2-2 Avenue K.
